Hua Eng was founded in 1956. The company began it first operation as Hua Eng copper and Iron Industrial Co., Ltd. On October 5, 1987, we changed our name to Hua Eng Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. In the following year, July 11,1988, Hua Eng were public listed in Taiwan.
The initial production of Hua Eng focused on copper wires. Since 1960,we have introduced new technologies from overseas and technically cooperated with Showa Electric Wire & Cable Co., Ltd.

Currently, we are capable to manufacture various kinds of power cables, communication cables, optical fiber cables, optical fiber passive components, and high quality oxygen-free copper wires. In addition, we accredited with ISO9001 and ISO 14000 Quality Assurance Award for our strict production process and excellent quality control.
For pursuing the best, Hua Eng constantly Upgrades production equipment, researches and develops new products, saves energy, strengthen our management, increases efficiency, and establishes highest market reputation. Those have allowed Hua Eng to gain a competitive edge in the wire and cable business.

Company Profile
1956	Hua Eng Copper and Iron industrial Co., Ltd., the Company began its first opperations as a copper refinery Plant.
1969	Hua Eng began technical cooperation with foreign counterparts to improve the quality of its products. Working closely with Showa electric Wire & Cable Co. of Japan, Hua Eng began producing power and telecommunication cables .
1973	With technical assistance of G.E, Hua Eng began manufacturing high quality oxygen-free copper rods.
1976	We began producing cross-linked polyethylene insulated cables pursuant to technical cooperation agreements with general electric and Showa, respectively.
1984	With technical assistance of Showa, Hua Eng became the first producer of optical fiber cables and terminal conductors in the Taiwan.
1987	Hua Eng established an electro-optics laboratory for research and development on optical fiber cables.
1987	We changed our name to Hua Eng Wire & Cable Co., Ltd., to better reflect our areas of expertise.
1988	Hua Eng's shares were listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
1992	We embarked on a NT$2 billion plant expansion and facilities upgrade.
1993	Under the technical cooperation agreement with Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. Hua Eng researched and developed the manufacturing technology of flame, heat, and erosion-resistance EPR insulaion cable.
1994	We were accredited the ISO 9001 Quality Assurance Award.
1995	PVC electrical wire was qualified for CSA and UL; CN4898 control cable was qualified for CNS.
1996	We were accredited Japan T Mark; CNS3471 duct cable was qualified for CNS.
1997	We were issued the certificate of LR for flame and fire-resistance LSFH cable; we were also qualified by the ministry of fire-fighting for 840℃ fire -resistance cable and 380℃ heat-resistance cable.
1998	We were qualified by UL for LAN Cable cat.5 Type, CMR, CM and CMX; our shipboard cable was accredited by ABS and DNV; we were issued the certificate of UL ISO 9001 quality assurance award.
1999	We were accredited TPC ACSR & 161KV High Voltage Cable.
2000	We were accredited the ISO 14000 Environmrental Management System Assurance Award.
2001	We began producing optical fiber.
2002	We were qualified by UL for LAN Cable cat.6 Type, CMR, CM and CMX.
2003	250V/660V/750V/3.6KV FIRE RESISTANT SHIPBOARD CABLE is accredited with BV certification. PVC insulated wire is certified by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, under the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Taiwan. Registered products are accredited with ISO900 quality assurance award, and the Quality Management Systems of the year 2000 version is awarded with UL certification.
2004	HUA ENG GROUP is accredited with Excellent Taiwan Exporter and Importer award in year 2003 by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, with products evaluated and rectified by the testing laboratory, and certified by the CNLA laboratory.
2005	161 KV power cable turn-key project awarded by TAIWAN POWER COMPANY (TPC). For this project HUA ENG received quality of excellence award by the ministry of commerce; we were issued the certificate of LR for flame and fire-resistance LSFH cable(CWZ).
2007	Awarded with Malaysia's SIRIM National Product Safety Standard Certification.
2008	Awarded with 345KV high voltage XLPE power cable for Taiwan Power Company for domestic production. Accredited with Japan's PSE、XLPE、PVC、2CT Power Cable Certification. Established First Alliance Construction company ,and Certified by Chung Hwa telecom. as strategic alliance supplier. We were also qualified by the ministry of fire-fighting for 6.6KV 840℃ and 600V 950℃ fire-resistance cable.
2009	We were accredited TPC 25KV high voltage XLPE outdoor cable.
